Log in to the Alibaba Cloud Express Connect console.\n2. On the **Express Connect** page, click **Create Physical Connection**.\n3. For **Region** , select the city that you want to connect to by\n choosing one of the following in the **Connectivity Provider** menu:\n\n - For the **China (Hong Kong)** region, select **Other (Chinese Mainland)**.\n - For all other regions, select **Connectivity Provider Outside Chinese Mainland**.\n4. For **Access Point**, select the Alibaba Cloud name for the remote location.\n\n5. For **Port Type** , select **10 GE Single-Mode Optical Port**.\n\n6. Leave **Redundant Physical Connection ID** empty when ordering the\n primary port. You will set it when ordering the redundant port.\n\n7. Check the box that you have read and understood the billing rules.\n\n8. Click **OK** to place the order.\n\n *Repeat the same process when ordering the redundant port* . However, for the\n second port, set the **Redundant Physical Connection ID** menu to the primary\n port that you previously ordered.\n\n Wait a few minutes for the ports to be allocated.\n9. After the port is allocated, click **Apply for LOA**.\n\n10. For **Company Name** , enter **Google Cloud**.\n\n11. For **Construction Company that Enters Data Centers of Alibaba Cloud** ,\n enter **Google Cloud**.\n\n12. For **Leased Line Type** , select **Fiber Connection**.\n\n13. For **Construction Schedule**, select the date tomorrow.\n\n14. For **Leased Line Bandwidth** in Mbps, enter **10000**.\n\n15. The menu requires that you enter information for a field engineer\n even though it is not used:\n\n 1. Click **Add Field Engineer**.\n 2. For **Name** , enter **NotApplicable**.\n 3. For **Contact Information**, enter your phone number.\n 4. For **ID Number** , enter **Unknown colo facility**.\n 5. For **Gender**, enter your gender.\n16. Click **OK**.\n\n17. On the page that appears, click **OK**.\n\nGenerate LOAs\n-------------\n\nFor Google to provision your connection, it must have a letter of authorization\n(LOA) for each of your Alibaba Cloud ports.\n\nAfter you order the Express Connect port, the port waits for a review process\nthat can take between ten minutes and two business days. After review completes,\nclick the button to download the LOA document. If you are unable to download\nan LOA document after two business days, open a support ticket.\n\nSend the LOAs to Google\n-----------------------\n\nAfter you order your Cross-Cloud Interconnect connections, you\nshould receive confirmation email messages from Google. Each of these\nmessages includes instructions for sending your Alibaba Cloud LOAs to Google.\nNow that you have the LOAs, do the following:\n\n1. Decide which Alibaba Cloud Express Connect port must be connected to each\n Cross-Cloud Interconnect connection.\n\n2. Locate the LOA document for that port.\n\n3. Respond to each of the Google emails, and attach the appropriate LOA\n documents.\n\nMake a note of the instructions that you provide to Google regarding which\nCross-Cloud Interconnect port connects to which Alibaba Cloud port.\nYou need this information later in the process when you configure your Alibaba\nCloud resources.\n\nAfter you respond to both emails, Google sends you an email acknowledging\nreceipt of the LOAs.\n\nStill later, after Google provisions your\nCross-Cloud Interconnect connections, you receive another set of\nemails stating that the work is complete. At that point, Alibaba Cloud has not\nyet provisioned the pigtail for the Express Connect port.\n\n1. Click **Confirm Delivery**.\n2. For **Leased Line ID/Cable ID**, enter the connection ticket ID that Google provides you.\n3. For **ODF Port Specification**, enter the Patch Panel information from the LOA document that you previously downloaded.\n4. Click **OK**.\n\nAlibaba Cloud completes the pigtail connection within four business days.\nGoogle tests your Cross-Cloud Interconnect once each day to check\nfor connection completion. After the connection is detected, Google sends an\nemail that your port is ready to use.\n\nCheck the status of your Google Cloud ports\n-------------------------------------------\n\n### Console\n\n1. In the Google Cloud console, go to the Cloud Interconnect\n **Physical connections** tab.\n\n [Go to Physical connections](https://console.cloud.google.com/hybrid/interconnects/list?tab=interconnects)\n2. Click the name of your Cross-Cloud Interconnect\n connection.\n\n3. On the **Interconnect details** page, locate the\n **Link circuit info** table.\n\n4. Check the **Receiving Optical Power** and the\n **Transmitting Optical Power** columns. The value in these columns\n should be **OK**."]]
