Method: images.getFromFamily

Returns the latest image that is part of an image family and is not deprecated. For more information on image families, see Public image families documentation.

HTTP request

GET https://compute.s3nsapis.fr/compute/v1/projects/{project}/global/images/family/{family}

The URL uses gRPC Transcoding syntax. To know more about valid error responses that can be thrown by this HTTP request, please refer to the service error catalog

Path parameters

Parameters
project

string

The image project that the image belongs to. For example, to get a CentOS image, specify

centos-cloud

as the image project.
family

string

Name of the image family to search for.

Request body

The request body must be empty.

Response body

If successful, the response body contains an instance of Image.

Authorization scopes

Requires one of the following OAuth scopes:

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/compute.readonly
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/compute
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/cloud-platform

In addition to any permissions specified on the fields above, authorization requires one or more of the following IAM permissions:

  • compute.images.getFromFamily
