INFORMATION
gcloud alpha compute snapshots test-iam-permissions is supported in universe domain universe; however, some of the values used in the help text may not be available. Command examples may not work as-is and may requires changes before execution.

SYNOPSIS
gcloud alpha compute snapshots test-iam-permissions SNAPSHOT_NAME --permissions=[PERMISSION,…] [GCLOUD_WIDE_FLAG]
DESCRIPTION
(ALPHA) gcloud alpha compute snapshots test-iam-permissions tests the IAM permissions that a caller has on a Compute Engine standard or archive snapshot.
EXAMPLES
To test if the caller has the compute.snapshots.get permission on a snapshot my-snapshot, run:
gcloud alpha compute snapshots test-iam-permissions my-snapshot --permissions=compute.snapshots.get
POSITIONAL ARGUMENTS
Snapshot resource - The snapshot for which to test permissions. This represents a Cloud resource. (NOTE) Some attributes are not given arguments in this group but can be set in other ways.

To set the project attribute:

  • provide the argument snapshot_name on the command line with a fully specified name;
  • provide the argument --project on the command line;
  • set the property core/project.

This must be specified.

SNAPSHOT_NAME
ID of the snapshot or fully qualified identifier for the snapshot.

To set the snapshot_name attribute:

  • provide the argument snapshot_name on the command line.
REQUIRED FLAGS
--permissions=[PERMISSION,…]
The permissions to test.
GCLOUD WIDE FLAGS
These flags are available to all commands: --access-token-file, --account, --billing-project, --configuration, --flags-file, --flatten, --format, --help, --impersonate-service-account, --log-http, --project, --quiet, --trace-token, --user-output-enabled, --verbosity.
