INFORMATION
gcloud alpha compute target-instances test-iam-permissions is supported in universe domain universe; however, some of the values used in the help text may not be available. Command examples may not work as-is and may requires changes before execution.

SYNOPSIS
gcloud alpha compute target-instances test-iam-permissions (TARGET_INSTANCE : --zone=ZONE) --permissions=[PERMISSIONS,…] [GCLOUD_WIDE_FLAG]
DESCRIPTION
(ALPHA) Returns permissions that a caller has on the specified target instance.
EXAMPLES
To test if the caller has 'compute.targetInstances.get' permission on a target instance my-instance, run:
gcloud alpha compute target-instances test-iam-permissions my-instance --zone=ZONE --permissions=compute.targetInstances.get
POSITIONAL ARGUMENTS
Target instance resource - The target instance for which to test permissions. The arguments in this group can be used to specify the attributes of this resource. (NOTE) Some attributes are not given arguments in this group but can be set in other ways.

To set the project attribute:

  • provide the argument target_instance on the command line with a fully specified name;
  • provide the argument --project on the command line;
  • set the property core/project.

This must be specified.

TARGET_INSTANCE
ID of the target instance or fully qualified identifier for the target instance.

To set the target_instance attribute:

  • provide the argument target_instance on the command line.

This positional argument must be specified if any of the other arguments in this group are specified.

--zone=ZONE
The name of the Google Compute Engine zone.

To set the zone attribute:

  • provide the argument target_instance on the command line with a fully specified name;
  • provide the argument --zone on the command line;
  • set the property compute/zone.
REQUIRED FLAGS
--permissions=[PERMISSIONS,…]
The permissions to test.
GCLOUD WIDE FLAGS
These flags are available to all commands: --access-token-file, --account, --billing-project, --configuration, --flags-file, --flatten, --format, --help, --impersonate-service-account, --log-http, --project, --quiet, --trace-token, --user-output-enabled, --verbosity.
